Freeman Miller Jr. was born on November 14, 1949, to Freeman Miller Sr. & Rosa Mae Miller
in Mcintosh, AL. He departed his earthly life on May 22, 2024.
Freeman attended Cedar Grove Academy and was a proud graduate of the class of 1967.
During his younger years, he attended Bishop State Community College for Auto Paint & Body. Freeman loved to repair automobiles, rebuild broken things, and renovate rental properties that he owned.
He was a first-class journeyman concrete finisher for various companies for over 40 years. Freeman help build bridges all along the Gulf Coast, including the following: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, and Mississippi. One of his Greatest Accomplishments was helping to build the Cochran African Town Bridge.
Freeman was passionate about his work, and it showed through his craftsmanship. He was a Country man at heart. He enjoyed the simple things in life such as gardening, hunting, and fishing as well.
Freeman loved his family & friends. He would give the shirt off his back, if needed.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Freeman Miller Sr. & Rosa Mae Miller, sister: Ella Mae & Bryant (Charlie Lee Bryant).
Freeman leaves to cherish his fond memories to: devoted Annie Bell Miller; devoted Sister-in-law Dora(Lee) Jackson; and his children: Gregory Dixon, Yulanda Miller, Antwan Miller, Niki (Jeffery) Childress, Casey Miller; his grandchildren: Brian Williams, Greg Dixon Jr, Gianni Dixon, Germany Dixon, Narkeyla Miller-Monroe(Terrance), Diamond Foster, Princess Miller, Princess Zoria Vanterpool, Princeton Vanterpool; his siblings: Voncille Miller, Sophia (Ed) Thomas, Tommie Lee Miller, Rebecca Miller(Vincent) Rocker, Reginald (Nicole)Miller; sisters-in-law; Ella Mae Lang, Vivian Vincent, Lisa Stewart, Debra Stewart, Angela Stewart; brothers-in-laws; Wilbert (Michelle) Dixon, Dennis Stewart; sisters-in-love: Barbara Jean Fikes & Vanessa Gable; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
His remains will lie in state Saturday June 1, 2024 at Living Water Apostolic Church (5229 St. Stephens Road) Eight Mile, AL 36613 from 10am until the 11am Homegoing Celebration. Rev. Maurice Williams Pastor and Minister Yulanda Miller, Officiating Minister. Interment will follow in Vaughn Cemetery in McIntosh, AL.

Daddah, I miss you every single day.The days are tough sometimes, but I'm grateful for all the wonderful memories. Thank you for teaching me how to:put God first in all I do. You taught me how to fly a kite,ride a bicycle, ride a go-cart, driving a car automatic & 5-speed, changing a tire & checking the oil in my car. I miss helping you renovating rental properties, planting gardens and even painting. Thank you for all the valuable lessons that I cherish!!! I loved you more than you would ever know. This is the only man that I would go out in 19 degree weather the get pizza for almost every Friday. Love your baby girl Casey a.k.a Kay-Kay, catfish/lil-fish.
