Obituary For Mr Roderick Stokes
Roderick Stokes was born on December 2,1960 to the late Jesse and Mattie Stokes. He was a graduate of Mattie T. Blount High School. His presence brought joy to all who knew him. He transitioned to his eternal home on December 6, 2025.He confessed his love for Christ at an early age. Affectionately known as โPa Paโ, Roderick enjoyed listening to gospel music, fishing, Mardi Gras, and spending time with his family. He retired from Barnett Millworks after 34 years of service.
Roderick was preceded in death by both parents and two brothers: Walter Bell and Jesse Stokes. He leaves to cherish his memories: a devoted wife, Kathleen, one sister Anna (Donald)Thompson of Mobile, Al one brother Charles Stokes of Birmingham, Al, four daughters: April Hollins, Stacey (Preston) Dawkins, Cortney โMandyโ Thompson, all of Mobile, Al and Tiffany (Sean) Taylor of Calera, Al. Nine grandchildren: Michael, Kristopher and Kristian Hollins, Hayley Bolar, Kennedy, Reagan, Brooke and Tiffany Dawkins, and Hannah Taylor. A host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
The Public viewing will be held Friday December 19,2025 at Christ Temple Apostolic Church (801 Virginia St 36603) from 10am until the 11am Life Celebration. Interment will commence at Pine Crest West Memorial Gardens.
