Ms. Erma Singleton

I know Emma as a kind,sweet, and beautiful lady. Our prayer is God will strengthen you and give you peace in the days and months to come.

Erma was a classmate with me at Bishop State Community College most classes we took together. I pray for the families doing their time of bereavement.

I am heartbroken ever since i received the terrible news. I am so glad and thankful of every occasion and moment Spent in Jeannie's company. Always looking out, caring for others. Jeannie was my "Tour Guide"to the Rankins after meeting my sister Nicole for the first time, it is very empty without her right now I depended on her for my daily blessings and words of encouragement. Although not the oldest,I could see she was our Matriarch She made me feel SIGNIFICANT as she did everyone she came in contact with. As I shared with you serval times, you inspired me as a little kid in so many ways; I wanted to be a doctor and would get white lab coats and all the tools one needed on Christmas. I wanted to be like you, a professional. You had big books, sat at the table, made notes on index cards, studied late and rose early- like the people on TV. This inspired me so much. I spent many days wondering what you'd do in your uniform. You were the first professional I can remember knowing. As an aunt, you'd let me drive your new car back and forth to church. Every time I asked to stay with you, you never said no. When you'd wonder in from a double or late shift sometime I'd be laying on the floor at the foot of your bed watching a film but you'd say just turn it down - then worry if I could still hear it -always concern for others. You have always been a light and your light will forever shine on in our hearts forever! How blessed are we to have had you in our lives. I'll miss you so very much. Friends since the 1st grade is how we introduced each other to Family & Friends. This passing is hard to accept but I do know and understand God was ready for Erma Jean to rest in His arms.
