Andrew Dowdy, 72, husband of Christine Wortman Dowdy, died Monday, September 21, 2020 at McLeod Health Regional Hospital, Florence, SC. He was born June 16, 1948 in Summerton, SC, a son of Alethea Brailsford Solomon and the late Verlen Doughty.
Memorial services for Mr. Dowdy will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, September 24, 2020 at Hayes F. Samuels, Sr., Memorial Chapel 114 North Church St. Manning, SC.Summerton, SC

Christine, I am so sorry I could not be there for Andrew during this Covid time. He was such a big part of our family and we adored you both. Will miss him so much but I believe he is with family and celebrating they are. Time will bring you peace. I will see you soon. Love you much!!!

There are no words that can ever describe what an amazing Uncle he was.I can't ever say that there was a time that he didn't have a smile on his face. He was always so concern about everyone one else. I know that he is resting and no longer in pain However he will be forever moss. Love you always..
