Barbara Ann Green Bines, daughter of the late Lemon Green and Vinnie Nelson Green was born October 24, 1951 in Alcolu, South Carolina. She was preceded in death by four sisters, Molly Polite, Charlotte Walters, Christine Green and Martha Green Warthen and one brother, Lemon Green, Jr. She received her formal education at Manning Training School in Manning, South Carolina. At an early age, she accepted Christ as her personal Savior and joined Green Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Alcolu, South Carolina. Throughout her journey, she touched many hearts and shared her love with everyone she met. She was joined in holy matrimony to the late Tommy Bines and this union was blessed with two sons. A son, Patrick Bines preceded her in death. On October 3, 2021, God called His daughter, Barbara Ann Green Bines, home in Deerfield Beach, Florida. She leaves to cherish her loving memories, a loving son, Charles (Keyonna) Bines of Deerfield Beach, FL; a grandson, Charles Bines, Jr of Deerfield Beach, FL; two sisters, Virginia Wells, Alcolu, SC and Mary Cousar, Sumter, SC; four brothers: Henry Green, Joseph Green, Robert Green and Albert Green all of Palmetto, FL; goddaughter, Barbara Polite Snider, Manning, SC; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Public viewing was held from 4:00PM til 6:00PM Friday, October 8, 2021 at Hayes F. Samuels, Sr. Memorial Chapel, 114 N. Church St., Manning, SC.
Graveside services were held 11:00AM Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Green Hill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, 1260 Green Hill Church Road, Alcolu, SC. Rev. Delbert H. Singleton, Jr., Pastor, officiating.
Due to COVID-19 guidelines, the family is not receiving visitors.
