Courtney Johnson-Council, 49, wife of John Council died Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at her residence, 10461 US Hwy., 521 in Greeleyville, SC. She was born June 30, 1976 in Troy NY. A daughter of Edward Louis Johnson and Antionette Sabb (Marqus) Buchanan.
Public viewing will be held 2:00 PM til 6:00 PM, Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at Hayes F. Samuels Sr. Memorial Chapel, 114 N. Church St., Manning, SC.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at Hayes F. Samuels Sr. Memorial Chapel, 114 N. Church St., Manning, SC. Burial will follow in the Big Spring Cemetery, Greeleyville, SC.
The family is receiving friends at the home of her mother-in-law, Dorothy Council, 67 Cyclone Dr., Salters, SC beginning Friday, November 14, 2025 2PM til 6PM daily.

To both the Johnson and Council families... I am truly at a loss for words. In 2022 when I was down Courtney made sure that she kept in touch. While she was down I tried to do the same even sending her a text asking her to fight. In the end she did it her way... she told me she would π₯². I will forever miss her hollering Freak.. wuzz good witcha kidπ€£π€£. I have laughed and cried just as we would on the phone and in the end it's never goodbye. Be easy until we meet again.
