Edward “Dent” Becton, 79, widower of Eliza McCray Becton died Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at his residence, 2192 L & H Pearson Rd.., Manning, SC. He was born June 10, 1946 in Beaufort NC. A son of the late Alonzo and Evelyn Goddett Becton.
The family is receiving friends beginning Thursday, September 4, 2025, 3:00 PM daily at his residence.

To: The Becton family, with Heartfelt condolences My simple words cannot express the way I felt when I learned of the passing of Daddy Eddie Becton. I met daddy Becton over 18 yrs. ago as we fellowshiped together at Historic Mt. Zion AME Church in Summerton, SC where I served on the clergy staff He was a faithful and dedicated member who was very active in the church as well as his entire family. Daddy Becton was humble, Upstanding, kind, and pleasant to be around He had a big smile and a big heart,as well as a great love for family May all the great memories shared down thru the years "FOREVER LIGHT THE CORNERS OF YOUR MINDS" We have lossed a Jewel Remain Encouraged and know that our God is nigh and that you all are loved Humbly submitted Evan.
