Aunt Evelyn rest in Paradise. Thank you for your love and letting me live in your Ebbets Field crib after moving back from California. Your laugh and your sideways look at something or someone you did not approve of are 2 wonderfull things I will never forget about you.
It's hard to believe that you are not here anymore! I have so many memories in the Summer visiting my mom in NY and walking over to your house just about every single day. It was like my 2nd home in Summer. I remember your warmth, your laugh, your smile but also making sure I wasn't getting into any trouble. As time grew, and I became an adult, then my visits slowed way down and I didn't get to talk or see you much but a few years ago in your sweetest self started reaching back out to me. It felt sooo good! You had a beautiful heart auntie! You were so calm and peaceful! We would talk about life, family, politics and everything else. You said we MUST keep in touch. You would call every few months and you meant what you said! I'm definitely going to miss you, your calls and truly wish I took a little more time to reach out to you more! I will always remember and love you Aunt Evelyn! Nikki and Anthony, your mom, Aunt Evelyn, was just a beautiful person (inside and out)! I'm praying daily for God's comfort and strength to encompass you all day by day and moment by moment! Love you all dearly always!
From your cousin Cheryl

My Auntie Evelyn was such a lovely lady. I remember as a child living in New York, my siblings and I would go to our Auntie's house. Aunt Evelyn would always welcome us with a bright smile and snack, and you always felt her love. As an adult, Auntie was my confidant, and we shared wonderful memories together. I will miss her so much.
