Precious memories flood my mind of this beloved student, Genell. She was a diligent and sweet spirit in my English Class at East Clarendon High. Genell, Lanelle, and Wanda were ideal students with bright beautiful smiles. Mr. Rembert, and sisters, children, grands, and other family members, my condolences to you as your beautiful Genell has made her earthly transition. May she live forever in Glory. You are in my prayers. Eternal blessings as you cherish her memories. Revelation 21:4 states: He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away." (Ms. Marie Brooks, Former Teacher East Clarendon High School)
Thoughts and prayers are with each of you. Praying for peace and comfort only God can give today and the days to come. I Graduated with Genell. East Clarendon High School Class of 85.
My heartfelt condolences to the Ham family. I met Genell while attending the vocational school during high school. After graduation I didn't see her anymore until one day in Baltimore I was about to catch the bus and who also was at the bus stop, yes Genell. With that same beautiful smile as always. I was so happy to see her. It was such a great pleasure knowing her. So Genell take your rest and I'll see you again. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
Sharon

My sincere, condolences to the family, friends and all who knew Genell. Genell was my early childhood best friend. I remember getting dropped off at her house to play whenever I'd come down South to visit my grand parents from Philadelphia for the Summer. Whenever I'm asked to select a security question for any reason, I always select: "What is the name of your childhood best friend? and my answer to this day is always Genell Ham. Love you Gen. RIP... My forever childhood best friend.
You left me with nothing but memories I will cherish forever. To know you was only to love you. You gave me my first job when I came back to live in SC , and you took me in as your own . I will forever cherish the times we've had together! Rest peacefully
