The family of Mrs. Ida Mae Johnson Carter, wife of Johnny Carter, announces her passing on Tuesday, October 6, 2026. She was born August 8, 1940, in Manning, SC. A daughter of the late Henry and Annie Mae Thames Johnson.

Add A CondolenceMy Deepest Sympathy on the lost of your love one Mrs.IdaMae...A lady whom I have always had special feelings for...I have known her from childhood.She was the one who learned me how to tell time.One day she ask me to go look at the clock and tell her what time it is.I enter where the clock was and just began to cry because I knew I didn't know how to tell time.I told her it was 50 clock to 60 clock.She said,"You are going to learn how to tell time this day and I did!🤣🤣I will also think of her with fondness as she aways checked on my mother during her health crisis and personal trials.Her memories will aways be etched in the "inner chambers of my heart ."
