I offer my deepest condolences to the Hilton family, friends, and loved ones. During my time as a work-study student at Morris College, I learned invaluable lessons from her, and our relationship continued even after I graduated. Her unwavering support and kindness inspired me profoundly. It was her influence that motivated me to return and contribute to Morris College, where her legacy continues to inspire many.
Mercedes, I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of your mother. Ms. Hilton was a dear friend whose support meant so much to me. She was always willing to help, and her remarkable writing and editing skills guided me through many reports and speeches over the years. Her generosity, talent, and kindness made a lasting impact, and I hope the memories of all she shared bring you comfort in the days ahead.
With heartfelt sympathy,
Rudy Wheeler
PRAYING FOR COMFORT IN THIS DIFFICULT TIME.
Prayers for blessings of comfort and peace to the family of such a sweet, kind and beautiful lady. During her tenure at Morris College, my every encounter with her was always a pleasant one. She was one in the workplace that you could pattern yourself after. My heart felt sympathy.
My longtime friend Mrs. Hilton. I will deeply miss our long talks and check-ins. I met Mrs. Hilton 34 years ago at Morris College. I worked as a work study student in her office. She always made me feel welcomed and treated me with genuine love! We chatted briefly last week and I had no clue she would not be here today. I will truly miss my friend!
My condolences to Mercedes, the Hilton Family, and to the host of other family members, friends, and loved ones. She loved her family, and I hope that now and in the days ahead, each of you will find comfort in your memories and love for her. The experiences of learning from her during my time as a work-study student to later working alongside her as a colleague will always be among my fondest Morris College memories. Knowing her has been a gift, and her years of encouragement, wisdom, and kindness will be fondly remembered.
