Our Deepest Condolences and Prayers to The Family and Friends of Lenny ( Leonard Jackson ). We were his Neighbors and Blessed to be Considered Friends like Family to Lenny and Robbie. Lenny Was the Absolute Coolest and Caring Neighbor Ever. Even During His Sickness He would make sure that I as well as my elderly mother and Daughter were straight trying to help us with yard work.. Finding a Neighbor like Lenny is very rare. Anytime the music was bumping next door we already knew Lenny was washing his truck. We are Going to Miss Lenny . No More Pain , No More Suffering. Lenny is Resting in the Arms of the Lord . May the Holy Spirit Provide Comfort and Strength to Everyone that Love Lenny . Your Neighbors , Your Friends That Became Family . It was 4 of us so we could have 2 teams very easy. I always wanted to be on len team cause he would cheated, especially when we played spades keeping the Jokers. OMG
MY 1st apartment my big brother told me that he would watch the place when I went to work. I just (JUST) moved in to this beautiful brownstone in Bed-Stuy Bklyn. (didn't meet neighbors yet). Len came over with his radio nothing was unpacked in apartment. Didn't matter to Len he had MUSIC and was playing it loud sitting in front window. He was introducing himself to everyone that walked by (Hi, I'm Lenny my sister lives here). When I got home I am walking up the block saying I thought this was a quiet block. Had no idea Len was sitting in window playing LOUD MUSIC. When I questioned him he told me I should thank him, because now he knows all the neighbors. He enjoyed that apartment.π
My Brother Len πͺπΏ Thank you for all the Life lessons I am crushed, no words could express OCTOBER 9 - 19, 2023. Nevertheless here I am sharing one of many memories.
We worked at McDonald's on Pitkin Avenue in Brownsville in 1978. Lenny was on the grill, and I was on the register. Lenny created his own sandwiches w/extra everything. Our friends would come in and purchase an apple pie and Lenny would want to hand deliver their order; placing one or two of his signature sandwiches in the bag. (We gave out so much free food)
The manager had problems with people hanging out until we started working there. He called us Action Jacksons, because we always created solutions to any problems that may arise.π€£He could never get us to mop the Lobby... We would plan to call out from work the day after pay day to have fun in the summer.π€£
Leonard was like a father to me he always use to tell me Chris you are a good man and you have a good heart sometimes you show it but sometimes you don't but people look up to you like a best friend jt was a time when I been by his side through most of his down fall we sit talk when he down but I always make him laugh to pull him through the day that's something he taught me when I was the same way because he always say we all only got one life to live so we all got to have fun sometimes well all the time because ain't no one but yourself and God know what will works best for you and that's a fact.
