Mary “Mae” McDowell Wheeler, 91, widower of George Wheeler died Monday, June 2, 2025, at MUSC Health Florence, SC. She was born January 2, 1934, in Sumter, SC. A daughter of the late Ceaser and Lorena McKnight McDowell.
Public viewing will be held 2:00 PM til 6:00 PM Friday, June 6, 2025, at Hayes F. Samuels Sr. Memorial Chapel, 114 N. Church St., Manning, SC.
Celebratory services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Asbury UMC, Lynchburg, SC. Burial will follow in Goodman Cemetery, Lynchburg, SC. Ms. Wheeler will lie in state one hour prior to the time of service.
beginning Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at her residence, 927 ½ Park Ave, Olanta, SC.
