When my wife and I first moved to Sumter six years ago, our new neighbor, Otis, came over to greet us and welcome us to the neighborhood. Our first impression was that Otis was a very kind and caring man. With a wonderful sense of humor! As time went on, it was obvious that our first impressions or Otis were indeed true. And we found that he was a man of great faith in our Lord, Jesus Christ. We also met several members of Otis' family. His kind and gentle wife proved to also be a very special person. My interactions with Otis over the years always ended in laughter, smiles, and a warm handshake. There are not a lot of men in this world like Otis. It is a blessing to have known him. We will greatly miss him.
