Rebecca Hammett Posey, 83, died Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at McLeod Health Clarendon, Manning, SC. She was born October 15,1938 in Summerton, SC, a daughter of the late Thomas and Florence Miller Hammett.

Public viewing will be held from 4:00PM til 6:00PM Friday, February 11, 2022 at Hayes F. Samuels, Sr. Memorial Chapel, 114 N. Church Street, Manning, SC.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Taw Caw Community Outreach Center, 1130 Granby Lane, Summerton, SC. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion AME Church Cemetery, 6547 MW Rickenbaker Road, Manning, SC.

I am so sorry for the loss of Rebecca known as Hunnie. May the family continue to trust in Jesus love. I met she and Susan after they moved back to SC. It was a pleasure. During this hour of sorrow the Grandchildren of Florence Hammett Nelson send our love and condolences to the family of Hunnie.
