Sally Ann Robinson, also known by her loved ones as “Big Red”, daughter of the late Richard Robinson and Luella Johnson Robinson was born on August 28, 1949 in Pinewood South Carolina. She was preceded in death by her siblings: Camilla Robinson, Lutisha Browning, Mary Lee Holmes and Richard Robinson, Jr. She was educated in public schools of Sumter County.
She accepted Christ at a young age and was a long time member of Saint James African Methodist Episcopal Church. She was employed for many years at Thomasville Furniture Company. Then she became her own entrepreneur. She loved playing cards, cooking and entertaining her family, friends and the community. She was full of love and had compassion for everyone. She was greatly loved by all that knew her and will tremendously be missed.
On Tuesday, September 21, 2021 God peacefully called her home.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories, one daughter, Debra Givens, Goose Creek SC; a dearly devoted love one, like a daughter, Diane Lyles, Columbia SC; a nephew, James Watson Jr., that she helped raised as her son in Middletown NY; granddaughter, Sheena Givens of Goose Creek, SC; two grandsons, Marcus Givens, Charlotte, NC and Levelton Givens Jr., Goose Creek, SC; four great grandchildren, Ka’miyah Smith, Cayleigh Givens, Lauryn Givens, and Maliah Givens; four sisters: Lucille Watson, Pinewood, SC, Janet Robinson, Yonkers, NY, Gracie Conyers (Willie), Pinewood, SC, Joanne Walker (John E.), Pinewood, SC; a brother Johnnie Lee Robinson (Joanne), North Carolina; goddaughter, Courtney McConico, Columbia, SC; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives; long life devoted friends, Carrie Johnson, Larry Robinson, James Spann, Betty Johnson, Mary Sinkler, Mickey Collett and her healthcare worker Kim Long.
Graveside services for Mrs. Robinson were held 1:00 PM Sunday, September 26, 2021 at Milford Cemetery, 7665 Plantation Road, Pinewood, SC. Rev. Lee Vinnie Smalls, eulogist.
RIP Sally Ann. You will be missed.
