Shanetta McCray Graham, daughter of the late Wesley McCray and Genetta McDowell McCray was born February 6, 1974 in Sumter County. She received her formal education at Mayewood High School in Sumter County. At an early age, she joined Mount Sinai African Methodist Episcopal Church in Lynchburg, South Carolina. Shanetta was a beloved companion, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. And to know her was to love her. On Saturday, October 23, 2021, Shanetta McCray Graham departed this life at The Life Care Nursing Facility in Columbia, South Carolina at 1:15 P.M. She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her fiance, Kevin Green of the home; two daughters, Shateifa (Robert) Brogdon of Sumter, SC and Kadedra Graham of Memphis, TN; two sons, Edouardo Graham of Columbia, SC and Javontre Graham of Sumter, SC; five grandchildren, Jaliyah, Ashoti, Nyobi, Makai and Kior; two sisters, Sheila McCray and Latonya McCray both of Sumter, SC; two brothers, Maurice Humes of Atlanta, GA and John McCray of Sumter, SC; two aunts, Gloria McDowell and Sadie Hampton both of Lynchburg, SC; six uncles, Kenneth (Tracey) McDowell, Richard McDowell and Wilbert McDowell all of Sumter, SC, Willie (Celestine) McDowell and Levern (Cerise) McDowell both of Lynchburg, SC, Nathaniel McCray of Augusta, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Graham will be 12:00 Noon Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Hayes F. Samuels, Sr. Memorial Chapel, 114 North Church St. Manning, SC. Minister, Patricia Talley officiating, Minister Jennifer Collins- Harkins assisting. Burial will follow in Edward Cemetery, Lynchburg, SC.
The family is receiving friends at the home of her daughter, Shateifa Brogdon, 918 Mathis St. Sumter, SC.

It's hard to put it in words passing of my dear cousin who always had smile on her face and sweet voice whenever we get together for family gathering. She will truly be missed and will always be love and never forgotten ❤
