Shirley was a beautiful person. You couldn't ask for a better sister-in-law and friend. She was never one to complain but was always concerned about the welfare of others. She will be missed. May she rest in peace. Dora and Family

My heart is very heavy and saddened by the passing of my sister Shirley. She was never too busy to lend a helping hand or express words of wisdom and encouragement for anyone in need. Shirley assumed the role of matriarch after our mother went home to be with the Lord. All family business was not complete until it had Shirley's good graces. Jean and I visited Shirley and Frank every September for many years. Even though we are family, they treated us like royalty, always rolling out the red carpet. We hadn't digested breakfast before lunch was served (which was a full meal) and then another full meal for dinner. Shirley always had a package of vegetables from the garden ready for us before our trip back home. Jean and I will miss talking to her on the phone, and thank God for all the memories we shared and thankful for the shining light, beacon of hope and love she always bestowed on our family. Loving you forever, Andrew and Jean
To the family of our beloved SHIRLEY HARRIS FRIERSON, though sorrow comes into our lives when those we love must part. Love lives on forever in our hearts. Shirley was well known and admired by many. Her family and friends shared much love and fun with her. She will be greatly missed. May God's grace and goodness bring peace and comfort in the days to come. With heartfelt Condolences. There are no words to express the sorrow of losing Aunt Shirley. For the Harris family, she ensured that each of us was aware of her unconditional love for us. She was and shall remain one of a kind. My Aunt Shirley was a strong, independent woman with a relentless sense of humor and a smile that could light up a room. For all of her nieces and nephews, we knew that Aunt Shirley was the one that we could turn to for advice. Like Grandma Harris and Aunt Zelma, she always remembered our birthdays and celebrated our milestones, making each of us feel special. We love you so much, Aunt Shirley! Aunt Shirley, my only comfort is knowing that you knew how much Keith and I love you, and when I am tempted to remain headstrong, I will hear you reminding me to do the right thing. Your love and support have helped me overcome major obstacles and achieve incredible accomplishments. I am and shall forever be grateful that I had you as my aunt! To my cousin, Galen, Keith and I send you our love! Know that you and Uncle Frank are in our prayers!
Frank, thank you and Shirley for all of the love you have shared with my Mother and her family. We love you and Shirley. May God bless you and your family. Gertrude and Alonza Washington.
