Deacon Hoke Herbert Hampton
God has once again wrapped His loving arms around this precious Hampton family as they say farewell in deep sadness to their beloved:
Mr. Hoke Herbert Hampton was born February 6, 1937, in Valdosta, Georgia to the late Professor Hampton and Ester Hampton. He was the baby boy of fourteen (14) children.
Hoke attended Dasher High School. Hoke enlisted in the military, where he was in the Army. Hoke joined the House of God Church, Inc., at an early age.
He was a Deacon, Superintendent, and Sunday school teacher. Hoke was self-employed with Hampton Insurance Services, where he sold insurance for over 50 years.
Hoke was active in the community of Valdosta, Georgia, where he served on the library board and a City Councilman.
He was preceded in death by his Parents: Professor and Ester Hampton along with nine (9) brothers and three (3) sisters.
Hoke left this life on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving behind a loving family and many friends as well as extended family members.
Mr. Hampton is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years, Mrs. Willie Beatrice Hampton; his two beloved sons are Randy Hampton and Hoke Andre’ Hampton. Eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He is also survived by his loving brother, Johnny Hampton (Margaret) of Miami, Fla; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A celebration of life for Deacon Hoke Hampton will be held on Sunday, September 21, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at House of God Church with Rev. Willie McCoy, pastor, officiating, and the burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
Public viewing will be held on Friday, September 19 from 11:30 A.M. til 7:00 P.M and Saturday from 9:00 A. M til 1:00 P. M and 5:00 P.M. til 7:00 P.M. If you are unable to attend the service, please join us on scottandrobertsmortuary.com to witness the home going service of Deacon Hampton.

god-dad the day that Lamar and I came to visit you at the nursing home, little did I know that would be the last time, I would tell you how much I love and appreciate you and mom, If it haven't been been for you two, there's no telling where I would have been. They pull me out of my darkest hours with the help of the good Lord above. And dad I thank you for sharing your wife, my mom, Randy & Andre my brothers with me. I will always be here for them.
