Obituary For Mother Virginia Copeland

Ms. Virginia Copeland was born on October 25, 1926, in Clayttville, Georgia to the late Rev. Amos Jackson and Sara Jackson. She departed this life on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at her home. Mother Copeland was a woman of God who stood on the word of God and had a spirit of peace and humbleness. She was a faithful, dedicated, and loyal member of the River Hill Missionary Baptist Church until her health started to decline.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Amos Jackson and Sara Jackson; her four brothers and two sisters and her daughter Faye Elizabeth Foster (Willie-Deceased).

Mother Copeland leaves behind to cherish her memories three sons and two daughters, Leslie (Julia), LC Copeland II (Marjorie), Larry Copeland (Francine), Erma Day (Linzie-Deceased), Lynn Boykin; fourteen grandchildren, Dexter Day (Jacqui), Malcom Day (Tammy), Timothy Foster (LaStephanie), Lynnette Boykin, Antwone Copeland ( Marie), Michael Foster (Mona), LC Copeland III (Teesha), Charlette Harris (Mark), Gena Day (Gena), Calandra Wilson (Veedera), Denise Morrison (Johnny), James Copeland (Katiea), Timothy Boykin (Aina), Michael Copeland (Summer); thirty great grandchildren and seventeen great great grandchildren. Mother Virginia Copeland was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, and her Riverhill Church family, she also had a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

“We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord. So we make it our goal to please him, whether we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.” 2 Corinthians 5: 8-10

Graveside service for Mother Virginia Copeland will be held Saturday, September 4 at 8:00 A.M.at the Pallbearer Cemetery with Pastor Joe Troope, officiating. The family has requested in lieu of flower, please make a donation to the Community Soup Kitchen located at 601 N. Lee Street, please mail your donation to P. O. Box 5007, Valdosta, GA. 31603.
