Charlie Marsh, Sr. beloved husband, father, and friend passed away on June 16, 2024. He was born in Greenville, Alabama, April 4, 1953 to the late Katie Lee Marsh Simmons, and the late Lawler Scott, and the late Izonnie Arrington. Charlie will be remembered for his love for his family and unwavering dedication and faith in Jehovah. Charlie became and dedicated baptized Jehovah witness in 1975.
Charlie graduated from Lowndes High School. He loved barbequing, fishing, and gardening, baseball, listening to music, and dancing. Charlie loved dressing, and ironing all his clothes including work clothes and all. He passed on his love for barbequing down to his children. Charlie worked for Langdale Company for 14 years as a heavy equipment operator and the State of Georgia, and he retired from the City of Valdosta after 26 years. Charlie was the first to learn the Belt Press Machine that prevented flooding in the city of Valdosta. Charlie was most fund of preaching and encouraging friends.
Charlie was a loving and devoted husband to Vera Marsh who he shared 48 beautiful years where she made sure he was comfortable and well taking care of. Charlie and Vera loved worshipping together, dancing, and spending time together. Charlie loved his Vera.
Charlie loved his children, and he was always there for them calling and sharing words of wisdom. Charlie believed in family and it was always shown. He loved vacationing, where he took his kids to Levi State Park where he always wanted them to see the bull’s before the fun begin. He shared his love for Jehovah’s creations with his children.
Charlie Marsh, Sr. will be truly missed by those who knew him and loved him.
Charlie is survived by his loving wife Vera Marsh, his children Sandra Marsh of Savannah, Georgia; Charlie B. Marsh, II (Stacey) of Atlanta, Georgia, and Patrick marsh (Petessa) of Albany, Georgia. His devoted sibling Mary Simmons a loving and devoted sister of Greenville, AL, Sammie Ollison and Willie Lou Bowen of Montgomery, AL, Jimmy Lee Simmons, Johnnie Simmons of Greenville, AL, Joyce Ann Boggan of Greenville, AL; grands Jaden, Paytin and Madison all of Atlanta, Ga., Va Shyra of Albany, Ga., Darren, Josiah, Dewayne, and Kymberlee all of Valdosta, GA., and a host of nieces and nephews, and a special cousin Walter and Annie Montgomery.
Public viewing will be held on Friday, June 28, 2024 from 12:00 Noon til 7:00 P. M.
Home going service for Mr. Charlie Marsh will be held, Saturday, June 29 at 4:00 P. M. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses 3030 US Hwy 41 South. The public viewing is scheduled for Friday, June 28 from 12:00 noon til 7:00 P.M.

What a kind, patient,loving person. But most of all an example, and a excellent provider. Though it pains my heart to loose my father I will forever cherish the moments we have(EX.) Fishing,Listening to the vinyl records, traveling, BBQ,Suit Shopping, And most of all Going to the Assemblies, Conventions with Family. The most humble human being to ever walk the face of the earth. That is what my cousin Brother Charlie Marsh was. He was a faithful servant of Jehovah. Always at the meeting with a smile on his face.
