Flippy, we were friends from 1st grade through 8th at Van de Vyver St Joseph's Parish. I have very few words, but I know you will be missed old friend. Ronald Shaw
My childhood buddy and friend from the days we played together on Idlewood Ave.and on Rosewood Ave. As kids on Idlewood I remember we became blood brothers by pricking our fingers just like the Indians in the old westerns we watch on TV(SMILE).My prayers and condolences go to the family rest in peace my brother.C.Gilmore
R.I.H. dad there are so many words I wanted to say today. When I got on the pulpit and stood behind you I couldn't speak from what I prepared. The tears came down so I just went from what was on my heart. You are truly missed by many. I miss the phone calls and good night texts, the gun talks, and fishing and hunting talks. Buying firearms and sharing pics with each other. My problem was I like guns like I like cars, I have to trade them in for something new except the ones you have given me. Monday morning I tossed and turned and when I woke up I said I need to call dad and check up on him, I reached for my phone found your number and was about to call you. From the deepest of my heart I love you Papa.
"Fippy" was his original nickname, somehow it turned into Flip. He was my first crush. I was about 4 years old and he was 6. He lived 1214, I lived 1214, and Charles, my cousin lived 1216 Idlewood Ave. We were the 3 amigos. I was devastated when they moved to Rosewood Ave. We had so many childhood memories. There was always room for me at the dinner table and the Perez's taught me that green beans must have mayo on them, which I still enjoy today. The first death I ever experienced was the death of his beloved dog "Bruno". We talked once after I found his number on the internet. I gave him one clue and he guess who I was right away. So sorry I won't get that chance to talk with him again. Rest in peace my friend. Beverley Paige Johnson Hayden
Pop we love you and will sorely miss you deeply. With all our love to your family. RIP.
"Flipper"! Glad we got to talk a week before you got called home to glory. We had big fun being the champs one year as "Bay Bay Kids" during the DuPont bowling league back in the day Sorry we couldn't continue with the guitar lessons, but at least you got to be better than your first day. Rest in peace my brother.

My best man and longtime friend SW w+Anthony Perez aka the Fuehrer has going home to rest. Remembering the many years of us Southside Adventures Sportsman Club members spending 8 or 9 days up in the mountain hunting in the winter, chartering a boat to go 2 hours out in the middle of the ocean deep sea fishing in the summer, coming back in the only blacks on the pier and we got the catch of the day everybody crowding around looking at all the fish we have caught. Our condolences to Ms. Barbara and the family. Mr. Perez "Mr. P" was a neighbor and friend of Carolyn Farrar (my mother-in law). He always offered conversation, love, and help whenever it was needed. I remember Mr. Perez and Ms. Barbara always buying a Christmas gift for our daughter each year. She would not pass an opportunity to give her hugs or throw her hand in the air and yell "HEY MR. PEREZ" whenever she saw him outside. He was a great man and he will be missed. Praying for the family's peace and comfort during this time.
