Booker T. Simmons, Sr., of Richmond, departed this life October 27, 2020. He was born in South Hill, Virginia to the union of General and Clara Macklin Simmons. He served in the U.S. Army. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Joyce Graves Simmons; son, Booker T. Simmons, Jr.; brother, Herbert Powell; niece, Phyllis Jackson; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; five sisters-in-law, Pandora Moormon, Mary Hood, Ophelia Graves, Phyllis Graves and Mary Powell; three brothers-in-law, Wilbert T. Graves, Leon Graves and Eddie Lewis Drummond; other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Scott's Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd. where public viewing will be held from 12 noon until 8 p.m. Monday, November 2, 2020. Interment private.
