Bradley Ricardo Coleman, of Chesterfield, a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, gracefully spread his wings and embarked on his heavenly journey on June 16, 2023. Born on March 19, 1997 that memorable day in Johnston Willis Hospital in Chesterfield, Virginia, to Carolyn and Craig Coleman. Bradley was a beacon of light to all who had the privilege of knowing him. Throughout his upbringing in Chesterfield County, Bradley was actively engaged in Chesterfield Association and AAU sports, fostering his passion for athletics. Educated in the Chesterfield County Public Schools, he proudly graduated from Meadowbrook High School in 2015 and further pursued his academic pursuits at John Tyler Community College. While Bradley may not have been religious, he possessed a profound spirituality that guided his life's purpose. Mark 8:36 resonated deeply within his heart, as it reminded him of the significance of nurturing the soul above material wealth. In homage to this sentiment, he wore the scripture as a tattoo on his neck, a constant reminder of his personal journey. Known for his infectious smile and warm presence, Bradley effortlessly captivated the attention of everyone around him. His vibrant spirit illuminated every room he entered, and his genuine kindness allowed him to effortlessly forge friendships wherever he went. Loyalty was a cornerstone of Bradley's character, as he held deep devotion to the things and people he cherished; from his beloved Philadelphia Eagles football team to his trusted barber of over 20 years. He consistently sought the best for those things that he believed in. Bradley's unwavering encouragement and inspiration served as a catalyst for others to shine, even when he faced his own challenges. Although Bradley's earthly journey has come to an end, his indomitable spirit, zest for life, and unwavering love will forever remain in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known him. As we bid farewell to our beloved Bradley, let us celebrate the joy he brought to our lives and find solace in knowing that he has found eternal peace in the loving embrace of heaven. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Richard Coleman and Robert Bradley and grandmother, Florence Matthews. Bradley will forever be held dear in the hearts of his beloved mother, Carolyn; loving father, Craig; treasured sister, Courtney (Jordan); grandmother, Lucille Coleman; three uncles; six aunts; two nieces, Jordyn and Makayla (they occupied a special place in his heart, and he delighted in showering them with love); a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Scott's Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd. where viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Monday, June 26, 2023. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 27 at Scott's Chapel, 116 E. Brookland Park Blvd. Rev. Dr. Cheryl Hall officiating. Interment private. Livestreaming at scottsfuneralhome.com

I was Bradley's neighbor. So sorry to hear of his passing. I remember when we officially met, he took the time out to knock and introduce himself with his entire name. We would go on to see each other in passing, through the halls or coming in from errands. He was ALWAYS smiling and was always friendly. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to his family and friends. I know he was quite special to you all.
