To the Wiggins Family, I send my deepest and heartfelt condolences to you during this difficult time. Ms. Wiggins was my mentor and motivator at Virginia Union. During my time at Union she was always pleasant and extremely supportive. She was so excited I wanted to pursue a career as a Business educator. She would always greet me with a smile and leave me encouraging words. Thoughts of her often cross my mind and I feel blessed I was able to cross paths with her! Her infectious smile and beautiful flowing hair will never be forgotten. Rest Ms. Wiggins thanks for the legacy you left and because of that legacy, you will forever live through those you have touched. Until we meet again, Christina Riddick-Grady, VUU Business Education student!

To the Wiggins family: Mrs. Wiggins was my professor at Va Union University. I am truly thankful to her for encouraging me to be the positive and well organized teacher that I am today. She was my role model and mentor who motivated me to see obstacles as puzzles to solve. If it had not been for her wisdom and support I may not have continued on to graduation. To the Wiggins and McNeill family: We have lost a beautiful light in our Sorority and Neighborhood. Bynetta and I lived across the hall from each other for more than seven years. She drove me to the hospital to have my first baby. Always so kind and helpful, she was a talented seamstress and a good cook. She was a "forever" friend and my boys and I will miss her. Cheryl and Family, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of my beloved Alpha Chi line sister, Bynetta, but happy that I had the opportunity to reunite with her in a virtual reunion celebrating 55 years of sisterhood. Moreover, Bynetta made a powerful contribution to our powerpoint for our reunion. Though she is now an Ivy Beyond the Wall, she remains an Ivy within my heart. My fellow 1966 Alpha Chi sorority intiates are a close knit group and we have comfort in knowing she is watching over us from above. Her line sisters had a prayer session on ZOOM where we asked God to let Bynetta know our love for her. We really believe God shared our sentiment regardless of her condition at the time. My prayers are with you, her family and please know how much we loved her and will stand behind you on her behalf. Sincerely, Julia Fairley, Bynetta's Alpha Chi Line Sister
Dear Family Members of our beloved Bynetta,
On behalf of Bynetta's Alpha Chi Chapter Line sisters, we embrace you with devout love and share in your sadness. We are heartbroken, but are grateful that God and precious memories of our Beloved will forever offer you comfort and strength. Love for our sister is infinite. It is a love that will never fade away, for it has stood the test of time. We do not think of Bynetta as having left us. Her journey has just begun. She walks beside us now in celebration. Think of her resting peacefully from all pain and tears, for she will be smiling down on us for the rest of our years. Although we will miss Bynetta's shy and gentle smile, her quiet demeanor, and pleasant gracefulness, she knows we still have work to do. When our work is completed here on earth, God will call us home and Bynetta will be by His side. There, in the garden with Jesus, she is surrounded in perfect joy and beauty. Our Rose is now blooming in this garden, blossoming from God's light and watered by the morning dew. Dear Family, you can find comfort in knowing that our Rose is waiting to greet us one day with open arms. Please know that you can reach out to us at any time so we can provide support through the days and years ahead.
