Hey Auntie. So many memories. Summers with u and "My". The bribes to keep honor roll because u gave us money for good grades. Going out to eat at Friendly's for my birthday. Singing Jill Scott with u on the way to target..is it the waaaay you loveeeee me baybaaaay?! Aw man. That time I walked off in the store and you had them call me over the intercom 🀣. Oh gosh, I can't forget that trip to Orlando and I opened the door on the highway and you fussed at me because I scared u 😭. Soo many great memories but my favorite is the last time I saw u breathing and looking amazing..my wedding. So many memories: growing up in Brookfield Gardens together, hanging out at your house almost as much as our own, your dear mother (My) who always welcomed us, church choir where we laughed and giggled between songs until Ms. Miller gave us the look! I remember when you told me that Larry and I would marry some day because he was always teasing me and I looked at you with utter surprise! Well, you were right my friend (laugh)! To Jackball and family, you have our sincere condolences. We pray for peace, comfort, and wonderful memories of your dear Sister, sister-in-law, and aunt. Be blessed, Larry and Jackie (Carter) Branche

My deepest sympathy to Jackball and family. For many years the Jackson family lived next door to my Aunt and Uncle Dorothy and Arthur Payne in Brookfield Gardens, and our families grew so close. Delores was always so kindhearted and fun to be around. She was not feeling her best at my aunt's homegoing service, but she and Jackball attended my Aunt's homegoing service. I was able to see her again at our Class Reunion, and it was great. I will never forget how beautiful she was after getting her face all made up for our final night at our class reunion. Family, stay strong and know that Delores is resting in the comfort of God's loving arms in peace. Judith Chandler Alston

My deepest sympathies are extended to the family and friends of our dear Lois. I will always remember her kindness and warm smile shown me from our first meeting in Brookfield Garden. She always had an encouraging word for everyone she met. She was a fun loving, easy going soul who embraced life and lived her life to the fullest. She will be sorely missed. I especially loved the closeness of her family bond she shared for her family, her mom and brother. She loved deeply those she called friend. Jackball, I feel your pain, but know your sister is at peace in the loving arms of our Lord and savior. God grant you peace and blessings to sustain you in the difficult days ahead. We loved you, Lois, but God loved you best.

My condolences to Henry and Marilyn Jackson. And the entire Jackson family . I know that God will embrace your tears and sustain you during this time of sorrow. You are in my prayers. So sorry that Delores passed away, my husband (Willie George) & I (Bettie LaneWatt-daughter of Flossie Reynolds) have had some joyful times at JacksonReynolds Family Reunions with her.

Both of us are missing her and grieving with Angela Jackson, and the entire Jackson family.

We're thankful to God that she is no longer in pain nor suffering-but with him in her final resting place.

My memories of Lois riding with me from Richmond to Nashville brings back such fond memories . I was a lowly freshmen at Fisk and she was a mighty TSU Tiger Bell!Just being seen with her gave me instant Status. It is difficult to think of her in past tense...rest my friend,a life well lived..Ronnie Jones

I was deeply saddened to hear of Lois passing. She was a dear and close friend of mine and my family. Lois was an amazing woman with a very kind heart. She was always thinking about others and willing to go out of her way to help them. Her brother, Henry, is like a brother to me, and Lois has been like a sister I never had. There are many happy memories of our childhood and the life we shared in Brookfield Garden. I will always remember how fast a runner she was, and her love for playing cards. I will miss Lois, but know that she is now surrounded by family and friends that departed before her. To my friend and brother, "Jackball" and the rest of the family, I feel your pain and grief. Jake Henderson

MAN MAN (Kevin Hunter)

My deepest sympathy to Jackball and family. I grew up living in Gilpin Court off Chamberlayne Ave. near Brookfield Gardens and attended MLWaker during the time you two were there as well, class of 1968. We all were "family" coming from Jackson Ward and that area, and Delores was always fun to be around, kindhearted, and thoughtful. I can see her big infectious smile now, feeling her energy!

May she rest in peace; God has her now in His loving arms. Comfort and strength to you and your family during the coming days. Snookie/Stephonia Keys Owolabi

MY DEEP SYMPATHY MEMORIES ARE PRECIOUS GEORGE WILLIAMS AND FAMILY

To the family and many friends of Lois, we offer our condolences and deepest sympathy. I grew up in the Gardens and Lois was a sister like when the village was a family, to many of us as we were navigating through life. God dispatches Angels and that she was. It's times like this I would rather remember that smile that only she could wear. Lois was a beautiful person with a good soul. Jackball, I feel your pain and loss. However, the joy is knowing she's running that last leg home to be with the Lord. Her presence will be missed and victory hers. With my deepest sympathy. Mike of Rudolph and Lois Giles Tyler Street. (Ricky's brother)

Our staff will continue to keep your family in our prayers. We thank you for allowing us to serve your family.
