To the family- God is with you every step of the way. When I first met her at her home years ago, it was with Earnestine, LaVerne, and a few others for her birthday. She welcomed me into her home. The table was set and the food was delicious. We had a great celebration with purple being the dominant color. I had asked about her and was given her number to call her. She reached out to me when Lin, my son died. We talked, she listened, and gave spiritual comfort. I thanked you then and I thank you now. Mrs. Doris you're receiving your rest. Love, LaMone D. Lewis
To: The Fleming family! My heart was sadden to hear of the home going of your Love one, Mrs. Doris Fleming. We worked together in the Ladies Ushers' Union. She shared her gift of ushering to her church family and others. She served very well and always had a beautiful smile to give to everyone she met. Always Remember the good times you had together here on earth. With Love Nancy Broadie
To the Family. I am grieving with you. I will really miss Aunt Doris. Over the recent years, I have had some enjoyable and informative phone conversations with her. When I had questions about the best way to prepare certain dishes, I called her. We had several health issues in common and it was good to know I had someone to talk to who had experienced what I was going through. She was always glad to lovingly share positive suggestions based on her experiences. We both loved wearing our church hats. I will always be grateful for her concern and love for me and my family. Niece Jackie, Chesapeake, VA.
