Sending prayers and love with deepest sympathy.
Sister Brown and family, you have our deepest sympathy. We met and appreciated messages by Brother Brown many years ago whether he was sharing with us at Cawson Street Church or the many times we visited then Dill Ave. He always welcomed us and had a kind word to say. We know you will truly miss him but he's gone to get the reward he preached about. Be blessed and know God is there with you. With sincere prayers, Tom & Eva Reaves
Dear Loren, Praying for you and your family. I thanks God in the name of Jesus for a mighty man of God your father. Your father touched many lives and because of your father you touched my life. I am here for you and your family. Love, Constance
My Love and Condolences to the Brown Family, 33yrs of my Life I spent listening, understanding, knowing, just what God intention for man in His World to be, Bro J H Brown is that example, I respected everything about Him and Love Him as a Son who Love and Honor His Father, He had a Biblical answer to any Biblical questions asked of him, His Wisdom and Knowledge of God word from Genesis to Revelation was remarkable and outstanding, every Church of Christ I have visited in my truck driving years always spoke highly of Him and His Family Who He was an Who's He was, God knew of Him and what He was and His Life journey before He did, Thank you God for Him, He ran the race, Stood the course, Fault a good fight and now He is at Home in His Mansion, wearing His Robe and Crown in the Christian Hall of Fame with His Oldest Brother and the other Great Leaders before Him, Love You Brother J H Brown and your Family, Thank you God for Him Brother Wendall Creer
Bro. Joseph H. Brown had a major impact on my life. He and his wife Phyllis introduced me to the Church of Christ as a young adult. Bro. Brown and his wife Phyllis helped me to overcome my fear of reading/studying the Bible. He was a great minister, friend, brother, an outstanding teacher, minister and leader. Bro. Brown was honorable, respectful, purposeful, and set his standards high and incentivized others to do the same. He was very adept with the scriptures taught us to understand the scriptures at a very in-depth level. You needed to have your pencil and paper to take notes as he taught every Sunday. He did not play with God's word. He expected you to learn and understand the scriptures as he did so that your life would be better lived and heaven bound. As a a young adult "Breath and Britches," was one of the sermons that has been most memorable to me. In trying to relate and keep all of us young people straight, he spent time developing and preparing sermons that were relevant and applicable to our life and everyday living. Rarely did you hear the same sermon twice. He was my favorite minister and teacher. Those of us who knew him and were under his tutelage will always miss him and are saddened that he left us so early... and at a time we didn't want to let go. However, we know he is in a better place and is at peace with the Lord. Our sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy to his wife Phyllis and their three sons, Hugh, Loren, and Virgil. May God give you strength, love, and peace until you see your husband and father again on that distant shore. Love, Russell and Alice Bates

I humbly offer my sincere condolences to his family. I am a former member of the Dill Ave Church of Christ (now called the Sandy Land Church of Christ). I have been knowing Minister Joseph H. Brown since 1991. He was a huge inspiration in my life. He was like a father to me. He was truly a man after Hod's own heart. 🙏
