Daddy, I'm so grateful God chose you for me. Words can't express the pain in my heart and the emptiness I feel. You were and are forever my hero, my first love the best and strongest man I know. Daddy, Daddy, Daddy 😢😭💔 Sleep In Peace I LOVE YOU #DADDYSGIRL 🥹
To the family I'm so sorry to learn of your loss! I always saw Jerry as a warrior. It was never a time when you didn't understand his true makeup. I say this as a credit to humanity, especially as a Black man! He wouldn't have known it but I saw a lot of him in me. Having moved away from Richmond, you're not as current as you'd might want to be with the latest happenings! At least I'm able to acknowledge his presence, something I was not so fortunate to do in a prior loss!
My deepest sympathy to his family and friends.I attended church with his family. My prayers are with you Sylvia. Deborah Scott
Skip...My brother, a son, a father, an uncle, grandfather , a Veteran, Athlete, Educator, Friend and all around great guy. A Hero on many levels a stoic yet warm individual. Humorous yet serious about his family and business. Complex yet not hard to know. A Harley Easy Rider. A lover of life and a credit to his Race. My brother and friend. Can't tell you how much I love and will miss you. May the Ancestors greet you in all the majesty Befitting a Warrior King. Sylvia took great care of you and we got her. I got the Watch Shipmate! Fair winds and following seas. Salute!
I am really sorry to hear of the passing of Jerry. Family: Please accept my sincere condolences. I did not really grow up with the Archer family, but I knew each of them by living not too far from where the Archer family lived in Newtown (Southside--off of Pilkington Street). I especially knew Venetia (please excuse my spelling if spelled incorrectly), and I knew Van--who was a few years a head of me, and I knew George who was several years a head of me too. And I knew Jerry, who was a couple of years a head of me also. Please know that I have each of you in my thoughts as you all mourn the loss of your loved one. And to Jerry's immediate family, I pray that our heavenly Father will strengthened each of you during this period of bereavement...Thinking of you all. Sincerely, Horace E. Dabney
