I remember the Rozier family intimately from days at Armstrong High School on Leigh St. and VUU. Don's charming wife, "Butch", and he were a dynamic duo. Deepest condolences, L. Douglas Wilder
I remember Don being the only graduate from Maggie Walker High school, living with a family full of wild cats. Those once a year classics would bring some interesting conversations, loud debates, unbelievable exaggerations, and a hyperbole that was much more fun than playing outside. You, Alvin and Junie were my heroes. Love you Cuz. Mcclennon.
Peace and comfort to the Rozier family. I met Don during my internship at the McGuire Veterans Hospital. His kind and pleasant demeanor will never be forgotten. Rest in peace, Don. Yvonne P. Haynes

J. Don my wife and I will really miss you as you now have journeyed into the arms of our Lord. We first met in the Veterans Administration in November 1983. It was an instant lifelong friendship as we faithfully cared for our Vets. The many phone conversations about life in general and our LOVE for the VCU Rams are near and dear to our hearts. My wife will never forget you donating 120 hours of your annual leave to her in 2000 when she was so ill. Oneida, we are so sorry you have lost your helpmate and best friend. May Don rest in peace and our hearts be forever grateful for our friendship. Now go with God into eternal rest. Conley & Jean Ann Grimes

Oneida, words cannot express the sorrow I felt on Monday morning with your call. Although, I knew the time was near, I still felt that maybe we could have seen him at least once more. But God, as always has a plan. I know he is now resting in the arms of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. Don was one of best people I knew. Always offering others an ear or a shoulder to lean on. Thank God for his presence in my life, as his little cousin. LOL. Rest in Peace Dony Boy and say hello to all the family in Heaven. Love always, Michele
Mr. Rozier was a kind loveable, God fearing man. I was introduced to him through my friend Lawrence D. Smith who loved, adored, and respected him highly, and the more I learned about him each time I saw him. I truly understood why Lawrence felt the way he did about him. He deserved all the accolades bestowed upon him. He will be missed. The family are in our thoughts and prayers daily. Lawrence D. Smith and Elouise White
