I was very blessed to have LeRoy as a colleague and friend when he worked in Denver. He had a knack of making people feel heard and valued. When he retired, he gave each of his staff a clock that said: Like time never ends, friendships & memories are forever. I will continue to look at that clock and agree with the saying as I look back fondly on our friendship and shared experiences. - Jade Santoro

Being around you was like a pure, instant happy. Like, seriously one message or call from you and my whole day could go from awful to awesome in seconds flat. Everyone should have someone like you in their life. I know, I was blessed by having you in mines. I met Leroy in 2003 when I transferred to the Richmond (HUD) office and over the years, we developed a true friendship. I'm blessed to be able to cherish the footprints of kindness, inspiration, courage, joy and humor which evolved from our friendship. I will truly miss you.

Mr. LeRoy Brown was a wonderful mentor and role model to so many people, and I am lucky to be among them. Through his leadership, grace, diplomacy and knowledge he helped many communities across the country (and HUD Denver) a better place to be. LeRoy was one of the best men I have worked with. He was kind, smart, and realistic. He was an excellent public servant and Al all-around good human. His light will be missed. May his memory be a blessing to his family and friends who loved him.

Leroy was a great friend, fraternity, and Theban brother. I will cherish the memories of our association and his infectious smile and kind manner.
