A REFLECTION The depth of our sorrow we cannot tell Of the loss of the one we loved so well, And while you sleep a peaceful sleep, Your memory we shall always keep...
God gave us strength to face it, And courage to bear the blow, But what it meant to lose you, No one but God will ever know! Cousin Martina "Peaches" Jeffries Garris
Praying for the comfort and peace of God to wrap all around you.
I was very blessed to have LeRoy as a colleague and friend when he worked in Denver. He had a knack of making people feel heard and valued. When he retired, he gave each of his staff a clock that said: Like time never ends, friendships & memories are forever. I will continue to look at that clock and agree with the saying as I look back fondly on our friendship and shared experiences. - Jade Santoro
LeRoy balanced grace, compassion and justice in his work and life. I am thankful for how he taught me, his HUD lawyer, how to be a true advocate for those in need. - Jesse Loper
As our Savior calls us to his treasure, his light will always burn in us. So, it is time for you to rest.
Rev. Dr. Jesse R. Butler
Being around you was like a pure, instant happy. Like, seriously one message or call from you and my whole day could go from awful to awesome in seconds flat. Everyone should have someone like you in their life. I know, I was blessed by having you in mines. I met Leroy in 2003 when I transferred to the Richmond (HUD) office and over the years, we developed a true friendship. I'm blessed to be able to cherish the footprints of kindness, inspiration, courage, joy and humor which evolved from our friendship. I will truly miss you.
To The Brown Family: As you mourn this loss know that others mourn with you too. Praying that each of you will be comforted with precious memories and God's presence to care for you during this difficult time. With Love and Sincere Sympathy, Tamekiah Aguirre

Mr. LeRoy Brown was a wonderful mentor and role model to so many people, and I am lucky to be among them. Through his leadership, grace, diplomacy and knowledge he helped many communities across the country (and HUD Denver) a better place to be. He made time for every person he met and made sure everyone felt respected and acknowledged. He was truly a special and one-of-a-kind man who loved his family and his community. Not for nothing, he was also the best dressed gentlemen I've met. He will truly be missed. My deepest condolences to his family and friends. Katy Burke

Time is filled with swift transition, none on earth unmoved can stand, Build your hopes on things eternal And then hold, hold onto God's unchanging hand.
