Lockwood Maurice Murray, 82, of Richmond, Virginia, departed this life February 27, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents James Murray, Sr and Amanda Alexander Murray. Surviving are his children, Kelvin Murray (Kim) of Dinwiddie, LaFon Robinson (Corey) of Sandston, and Elgin Hicks (Tanya) of Nashville, Tennessee; two brothers James Murray, Jr and Robert Murray of Stone Mountain, Georgia; five granddaughters, Kari Murray of Greensboro, NC Mai’a McCray, Sierra Hicks Reed, Mila’n McCray Reed, and Rowan Savage, all of Nashville, TN; two sisters in law, Jacquelin Murray and Angela Murray of Stone Mountain, Georgia; nieces Mahogany Goodman and Ashanti Murray of Stone Mountain, GA; one great-niece Journey Goodman; devoted cousin, Lolita Armstead; longtime, devoted friend, Stanley Brown; and other family and friends. Remains rest at Scott’s Funeral Home, 115 E Brookland Park Boulevard, Richmond Virginia. Viewing for the public will be on March 11, 2025 at Scott’s Funeral Home 9:00am-7:00pm. Homegoing services will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at 10:00am at Scott’s Chapel, 116 E Brookland Park Boulevard Richmond, Virginia. Interment Quantico National Cemetery, Triangle, Virginia.
