Obituary For Marilyn Lorraine Roots
Marilyn L. Roots, 65, of Henrico, died September 21, 2020. Surviving are her husband, Nathaniel S. Roots; daughter, Dana Gaines (Andrew); son, Damion N. Roots (Tori); three grandchildren, M'Kayla, Aaron, and Damia; 2 godchildren, Saveya and Sayhana Patterson; 2 sisters, Rev. Barbara Nelson (James) and Norma Harris; 2 brothers, Lloyd Brown, Sr. and Frederick Brown; 4 aunts, uncle, nieces and nephews, cousins, mother-in-law, Winifred Roots; 2 sisters-in-law, 4 brothers-in-law, other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Scott's Funeal Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd., where viewing will be held Sunday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Funeral services will be held 1 :30 p.m. Monday at Scott's Chapel, 116 E. Brookland Park Blvd. Dr. Ray McKenzie, officiating. Interment Washington Memorial Park. Online guest book at www.scottsfuneralhome.com
