Martha Anderson Thornton, 78, of Richmond, died December 30, 2022. Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Charles A. Thornton, Jr.; three children, Suzanne Slayton, Keith Thornton (Juana) and Darren Thornton; six grandchildren, Lauren, Logan, Corey, Kris and Caden Thornton and Tyler Slayton (Aubrey); brother, William Anderson, Jr. (Brenda); sister, Sherry Kearney (Willis); a host of nieces, nephews, sister-in-law, Shirley Thornton; brother-in-law, Clarence Thornton; other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Scott's Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd. where viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 7 p.m. Monday, January 9, 2023. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January, 10 at Scott's Chapel, 116 E. Brookland Park Blvd. Rev. Brenda Summerset officiating. Interment Virginia Veterans Cemetery.
