Prince Earl Reid, 88 of Henrico departed this life March 9, 2022. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mable Sledge; father, Leonard Jones Sr., (Geneva); step-father, Clarence (Heck) Sledge Sr.; brothers, Eugene Sledge (Cordelia), and Leonard Jones, Jr., sister, Yvonne Alston (Clinton). He leaves to cherish his precious memories, his loving and devoted wife of 65 years, Margaret S. Reid; loving children, Prince Earl Reid, Jr.(special friend, Jackie Pollard), Auretha Karnessa Stover (Maurice), and Afi Makalani (Mavis); two grandchildren, Kacie Hill (Alvin) and Morgan Newman (Eugene); six great-grandchildren; brothers, Clarence Sledge, Jr., Larry Sledge (Gloria), Michael Jones (Vanessa); sisters, Vivian Honor (John), and Gloria Hood (Jeff); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and devoted friends. Mr. Prince Reid was retired from the U.S. Postal Service. Remains rest at Scott's Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd, where viewing will be held Tuesday, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at Scott's Chapel, 116 E. Brookland Park Blvd. Rev.
