To Members of the Long and Scott Family:
The world has lost a gem and Heaven has gained its angel! My heart was saddened to hear of Rhonda's passing! She was indeed, one of the kindest and gentlest people I've ever known! She brought about a quiet, soothing spirit wherever she went. As her principal at Mary Scott, I often sought solace with her when things got a little hectic! We spent a considerable amount of time discussing God's goodness and His grace!!!
She loved the children and the children loved her! She was an amazing teacher!
Rest well dear angel! Job well done good and faithful servant!!!
Your Sister in Christ and friend, Former/Retired Principal Dr. Johnnye S. Massenburg-Johnson AKA Doc MJ

Expressing my deepest condolences to the family. Rhonda was such a sweet spirit with a warm and calming voice. Many times we would laugh and share at church. Her positive attitude was a testament to her faith in God. One of my fondest memories was just last year at the Juneteenth festival. We danced and laughed celebrating the holiday. Wow, what a difference a year makes. I will miss this angel on earth but my trust in God assures me that he is a rewarder. Cheryl Jackson First Union Baptist Church
