Robert Junious Mitchell, 81, of Henrico, earned his eternal wings on December 7, 2022 at his home in Henrico surrounded by his loved ones. He was born October 25, 1941 to the late Marie Mitchell and Edwin Anderson. Robert was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 52 years Addie Mae Sims Mitchell; two sons, Tremain Mandell Mitchell and Robert Mitchell Jr.; brothers, Walter Mitchell and Bobby Mitchell and sister, Mary Mitchell Carter. He was educated in the Goochland County school system. For over 40 years, Robert was an entrepreneur having multiple businesses; Mitchell Refuge Services & Mitchell Hauling LLC. Robert’s most recent occupation was at Rick Hendrick Chevrolet. He was a loving, caring and humble man. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. A devoted man that was very generous who loved to laugh, eat, go on his daily outings and playing his numbers. He opened his home up to many who enjoyed his hospitality. Left to cherish his memory are his devoted daughter, Yolanda Mitchell Fleming; six grandchildren, Justin Fleming, Shondra Tyler, Robert Mitchell II, Taylor Mitchell, Norris Mitchell and Destynee Mitchell; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Arthur Mitchell; four sisters, Gladys Anderson, Dorothy Young, Joyce Moore (Thomas) and Ernestine Robertson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, two devoted brothers-in-law; Earl Robinson and Theodore Sims, other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Scott's Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd. where viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday, December 15. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, December 16 at Trinity Baptist Church, 2811 Fendall Avenue. Rev. A. Lincoln James Jr. officiating. Interment Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

I am truly sorry for yall loss,he was a wonderful man had many talk & fun times with Robert every time I came by the house to detail his and Addie vehicles they both will truly be missed. May God continue to bless the family.
