Sidney D. Townsend, 75, of Henrico, died December 28, 2024. Surviving are his wife, Shirley P. Townsend; a daughter, Shreco Thompson; 3 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, sister, Linda T. Humphrey; brother, Lonnie Townsend; 3 brothers-in-law, devoted Johnnie Muse, Jr.,; sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Scott's Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Blvd., where viewing will be held Sunday, January 12 from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, January 13 at Scott's Chapel. Rev. Jerome Bennett, officiating. Interment Virginia Veterans Cemetery Amelia.
