The 3600 block of Fontaine was fortunate to have a loving, kind and compassionate individual living in our midst. He was the God Father of our block and because of him we all felt safe. He loved his neighbors and we loved him.

The Virden Addition community has lost a legend. I was strung out on drugs Uncle Ben paid for my substance abuse treatment , sent me personal items and supported me through Mississippi College as I pursued an undergraduate degree. His love and support was the lighthouse that.guided me back to walk upright before the Lord and allowed me to walk out God's perfect will for my life. Take your rest Uncle Ben, it's not good bye but goodnight see you on that Great Gettin up Morning!!!
