Words are inadequate to express words of sympathy to the family of my sister that was an Ambassador of that expression of that sound that will never be heralded to the ears of mankind, rest well my sister!

What a talent she was. I had the opportunity to see her perform at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. about 6 or 7 years ago, and also had the opportunity to interview her on my show Jazz Talk. Casssandra Wilson will be greatly missed. My prayers go out to her family and friends.

To the Family of Cassandra: Thank you for blessing and sharing with the world the beautiful gift of her voice which translated to some of the most enjoyable music ever recorded.
