Send flowers to the service of William R. "Bo" Brown
My prayers are with the family. I am so sorry for your loss. Bo and I were colleagues when I served as editor for The Mississippi Link newspaper, and he was our sportswriter. I remember so well how he, a well-dressed gentleman, would come in each week, write and file his sports stories with such ease, finish, and head to the next activity or service on his agenda. I always viewed him as a serious but "cool" professional who carried himself with style. RIP, Bo! RIP!
Imelda and Dawn, Please know that my thoughts and prayers have been with you over the last few days, today and the days to come. I know Mr. Brown will be missed! Shirley Walker

To the Brown Family, The Burks family and our Overbrook neighborhood has been blessed by the presence and impact that "Bo" Brown has made in our community. We always greeted each other as we came to and from home; we stopped and talked on Overbrook when we needed more than the wave, and we appreciated his checking in on the Burks Family, especially when our mother (Helen Burks) was with us. Men of his character and quality are few and far between and we mourn his loss and are in deep prayer for the well-being of the family. He was a true Omega Man, a stellar example of Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance, and Uplift. We humbly thank the Brown Family for allowing him to share his life and talents with our community. Please know that we will always cherish the contribution he has made to our neighborhood and to the state of Mississippi and we will always be in supportive prayer for your continued well-being and comfort. God will be with you, always. Honoring the memory of our mother and father, Helen and David Burks Sr., this condolence is humbly submitted on behalf of the Burks Family from 2434 Overbrook Drive, and children - Joyce M. B. Motley, Larry Burks Sr. (Omega), David Burks Jr., Alphonso Burks, and Joanne Dixon
