The funeral services for the late Mrs. Annie L. Mitchell, who departed this life on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at Wellstar Community Hospitice @ Cobb in Austell, Georgia, will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. from the Macedonia Baptist Church in Sylvester, Georgia. Rev. Dr. Lester Knox, Pastor, will deliver the Eulogy. Burial will follow in the Shepard Memorial Garden Cemetery in Sylvester, Georgia. Louise, who loved being called “Mom, Momma, Momma Dearest, Momma Louise” by her family, gained her glorious crown in Heaven on Sunday morning, February 5, 2023.
Louise was born in Sylvester, Georgia on June 17, 1930, to Alex and Mary Francis Hill.
At an early age Louise knew that she was an anointed child of God. She joined Macedonia Baptist Church and was baptized.
Louise was a loving and devoted mother to Mary Ann, Smyrna, GA, Johnny (Brenda), Winston Salem, NC, Larry (Ossie), Atlanta, GA. She raised her children with love and devotion in Sylvester, GA with her husband, Joseph (Joe) Mitchell who preceded her in death.
She is survived by 3 brothers JL Hill (Mary), Jacksonville, FL, Benny Hill (Sallie), Tallahassee, FL, Robert Lee McCullough, Sylvester, GA; 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother Alex Hill, Jr. (Virginia), and 2 sisters, Verdell Hill Peace, Lucile Hill Gordon.
