Annie Pearl Hill, affectionately known as “Annie P”, “Momma”, or “Ma,” was born on June 11th, 1938, in Worth County, Georgia. After a long and fulfilling life filled with love and service, Annie was called home on December 10th, 2024.
A dedicated and remarkable woman of God, Annie illuminated every room with her smile and unwavering faith. For over 25 years, she served her community through her beloved restaurant, Annie’s Southern Kitchen, and for over 15 years at the Sylvester Kiwanis Club, where she provided not just meals but warmth and kindness during their weekly meetings.
Beyond her professional life, Annie's heart found joy in her faith community at New Provisor Missionary Baptist Church in Albany, GA. As one of the church mothers, her melodious voice graced the senior choir, and her spirit inspired many through the songs she wrote. At home, she cherished simple pleasures—watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, completing crossword puzzles, indulging in her extensive movie collection and watching Hallmark films.
Annie’s kitchen was the heart of her home, and her greatest pride came from cooking for her family. Every meal was a labor of love, and she treasured every moment spent with her 5 children, 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and a host of great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her beloved parents, Lillie M. Green and Joe L. Jackson; her dear siblings, Ella Mae Daniels, Willie C. Doliet, Willie D. Jackson, Larry Jackson, and James Jackson; and a son and a daughter, Willie Hill and Mary D. Fowler.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and strength through her three devoted children, Diane Nether, Michael Anthony Hill (Alex), and Minister Willie “Sue” Pearl Young; her sister, Relisha Morgan; her daughter-in-law, Gina Hill; and a host of other family members.
Although Annie is no longer with us in body, her spirit will continue to shine brightly in our hearts forever. Her life was a testament to the power of faith, love, and community, and her legacy will be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
