The funeral services for the late Mrs. Bertha Mae Davis of 4113 Martin Avenue, Tifton, Georgia, who departed this life on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at her residence, will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. from the Westview Memorial Cemetery in Ashburn, Georgia. Prophetess Bertha M. Davis was born on November 11, 1947 in Rebecca, Georgia. Her loving and caring spirit was welcomed into the world by the late Mr. and Mrs. Tom and Fannie L. Davis. She was educated in the Turner County Public School System, and graduated from Eureka High School in Turner County. She furthered her education at the Job Corps of Omaha, Nebraska. She was employed at Roses in Tifton, Georgia for 15 years. Due to her creativity, craftiness, and gifted hands, she became known to many as “THE HAT LADY.” Bertha loved the Lord with all her heart and had a love for people. She gave her life to the Lord at an early age and became a member of Wideman Chapel Deliverance C.O.G.A. in Rebecca, Georgia. Later, she was ordained as a minister under Dr. E. L. Smith. She served faithfully until the passing away of her pastor and the destruction of the church by a tornado. Then, Bertha joined Shabach Prophetic Word International Ministries in Americus, Georgia. She had a passion for singing, loved praise and worship, and enjoyed fellowshipping with the Saints of God. On Saturday, August 28, 2021, the Lord called her Home. She is preceded in death by her loving parents: Tom and Fannie L. Davis, a brother, George T. Davis, a niece Erica Perry, two nephews, Cedric Hayes and Hiawatha Hayes, several aunts and uncles. Her life and love will be remembered and cherished by her sons, Marcus Davis (Cormicka Battle) and De’Bryan Davis (Alicia Mobley); granddaughters, Kymyonna Davis, Sontrianna Woods, Lacoria Campbell, and Niambi Battle; grandsons, Michael Williams, Kwontravion Campbell, and Quen Campbell; Great grandsons, Josiah Thomas, Kylan Armstrong, and Meko Kilian; sisters, Eloise Romer, Corine (Albert) Frazier, Roudine (David) Fielder, and Christine Mercer; nieces, Linda Sessions, Keyanna Fielder, Jasira Henry, Javiana Hayes, Jaliyah Hayes, Eva Morrison, Olivia Ford, Keyonda Hayes, and Miranda Hayes, nephews: LaTrince Hayes, LaCarlos Hayes, Jim Hayes, Quontavion Hayes, Ja’Quavious Hayes, and a SPECIAL NEPHEW, Ethan Perry; Goddaughters, Maria Jenkins, Pamela Black-Farrie, Erica West, Akeena West, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and sorrowing friends to include Betty Hall and Ellen Daniels
