The funeral services for the late Mrs. Jean Mayo of 4840 U. S. Highway 41 N., Ashburn, Georgia, who departed this life on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia, will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. from the Westview Memorial Cemetery in Ashburn, Georgia. Mrs. Betty Jean Dixon Mayo was born on May 9, 1939 in Sylvester, Georgia to the late Mrs. Violet Dixon.
Betty Jean worked as a Nurse Aide at the Ashburn Healthcare Center in Ashburn, Georgia.
Betty was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Mr. Arthur B. Mayo.
Our Loved One gave up life on the Earthly Realm on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Pruitt Healthcare in Ashburn, Georgia. Betty was preceded in death by her mother, her husband, a son, Cornelius Mayo, and her sisters, Lara Mae, Janie Washington, LeAnna Lewis, and Rosa Macon.
Betty leaves to cherish her memories her daughters, Juanita (Bobby) Richey, Bessie Dixon, Mary (Willie) Hampton, all of Ashburn, Georgia, Debra (Billy Ray) Hall of Rebecca, Georgia, Martha (Willie) Johnson, Louise Jackson, Geraldine Mayo, all of Tifton, Georgia; her sons, Danny Lee of Charlottesville, Virginia, Arthur (Crystal) Mayo, Troy (Marie) Mayo, John Mayo, all of Ashburn, Georgia; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and sorrowing friends.
