The funeral services for the late Mrs. Betty Raing, who departed this life on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at Willson Hospice House in Albany, Georgia, will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. from the Shepard Memorial Garden Cemetery in Sylvester, Georgia. Her Lifeβs Story
Mrs. Betty Jean Roddy Raing was born on September 13, 1942 in Worth County, Georgia, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Randle, Sr. and Eva Mae Stewart Roddy.
Betty was educated in the Worth County Public School System. She gave her life to Christ and joined the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Isabella, Georgia. Betty was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Mr. Eugene Raing.
Betty gave up this busy walk of life on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at Willson Hospice House in Albany, Georgia. Her parents, Mr. Randle Roddy, Sr. and Mrs. Eva Mae Roddy, her husband, Mr. Eugene Raing, her brothers, C. L. Roddy, Floyd Roddy, Johnny Lee Roddy, have all preceded her in death.
Betty leaves to cherish her memories her siblings, Parrie Lee Stephens, Clarise Griffin, Frankie Mae (Frank) Hill, all of Poulan, Georgia, Otis Roddy of Albany, Georgia, Mary Bell Roddy, Shirley Drayton, both of Sylvester, Georgia, Randle (Althea) Roddy, Jr., Eva Mae (Joseph) Hill, both of Sumner, Georgia; a close friend, Henry Crumbley, Jr., and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Sending our family deepest sympathy to the Roddy family. Betty and my especially my older Sister Cora had some off the best times together. We would travel to Florida to work in the orange h to groves.After work we would have so much fun. Betty was one of the best person you could have as a friend.May she rest well with our ancestors.
