The late Mr. Bobby Lee Rhodes of Ashburn, Georgia departed this life on Sunday, April 19, 2020 at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia. A private service for the family will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. from the Shepard Memorial Garden Cemetery in Sylvester, Georgia.
Mr. Bobby Lee Rhodes, the son of the late Helen Bernice Range and the late Mr. Coley Bradley, was born on February 5, 1951, in Sylvester, Georgia.
Bobby was united in Holy Matrimony to Mrs. Mabelene Rhodes in 1974 in Sylvester, Georgia.
Bobby was employed as a construction roofer until he became disabled.
Bobby gave up this busy walk of life on Sunday, April 19, 2020 at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia. His parents, a sister, Helen Joyce Cook, a brother-in-law, Artis Hill, and a sister-in-law, Margie Hill, have all preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish his memories his beloved wife of 45 years, Mabelene Rhodes; three daughters, Gwen Crews of Griffin, Georgia, Jennifer (Jermaine) Rockwell, Bernadette Clark, both of Ashburn, Georgia; ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren; a brother, John H. (Sandra) Thornton of West Palm Beach, Florida; two sisters, Brenda Hill, Gwenda Range, both of Ashburn, Georgia; brothers-in-law, Richard Mathis of Atlanta, Georgia, George Jordan of Thomaston, Georgia, Charlie Mathis of Jacksonville, Florida, Arthur Cook of Sylvester, Georgia; sisters-in-law, Arlene Mathis of Sylvester, Georgia, Wanda Mathis, Mary Taylor, both of Griffin, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and the staff of Pruitt Health Care of Ashburn, Georgia.
