Obituary For Brenda Gail Daniels

The late Mrs. Brenda Gail Daniels of Sylvester, Georgia, departed this life on Monday, July 6, 2020, at Phoebe Worth Medical Center in Sylvester, Georgia.

A private ceremony will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Shepard Memorial Garden in Sylvester, Georgia. Words of Comfort will be given by Reverend Robert L. Smith. Services will be streamed Facebook Live from the "Shipps Funeral Home" facebook page.

A Time To Be Born..... Brenda Gail Daniels was born on August 21, 1963 in Sylvester, Georgia, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Melvin, Sr. and Geneva Daniels Powell.

A Time to Learn.... Brenda attended school in the Worth County Public School System and graduated from Worth County High School in 1982.

A Time To Plant..... The seeds of Brenda's life were planted in Worth County, where she grew up and began her fellowship with Christ at St. John Baptist Church in Poulan, Georgia. As a young woman, Brenda also cared for, and raised her younger brothers and sister. She also worked ten years at Target Distribution Center in Tifton, Georgia, and over twenty years at Seabrook Blanching/Olam Edible Nuts in Sylvester, Georgia.

A Time To Laugh..... The fulfillment and joys of her life were her son, Jaimeson, and spending time cooking for her brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other relatives and friends whom God blessed her with. A Time To Rest..... The final call of God for Brenda to come Home was received by her on Monday, July 6, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Melvin Powell, Sr. and Mrs. Geneva D. Powell

A Time To Cherish..... Fond, sweet, and loving memories of "Brenda will be cherished by her son, Jaimeson Wilson of Sylvester, Georgia; seven loving and devoted sisters, Dianne (Ron) Simmons, Angie (Timmy) Smith, Sue Polite-(Clint) Williams, Priscilla Polite-Jackson, Michelle Stephens, Katherine Stephens, all of Sylvester, Georgia, Tawanna Powell of Jacksonville, Florida; eight loving and devoted brothers, Melvin (Saudia) Powell, Jr., Marvin Powell, Alexander Collins, Keith Stephens, Tarus Stephens, all of Sylvester, Georgia, Willie Lee (Pinkie) Daniels of Camilla, Georgia, Freddie Powell of Albany, Georgia, Anthony Powell of Tallahassee, Florida; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and sorrowing friends.

I am truly sorry for your loss. Brenda was full of joy and laughter. My daughter called her "Brenda Girl" and every time we saw each other we joked about that. We were neighbors and friends in my late teens. It is sad to know she is gone so soon at 1Corinthians 25;26 'death is described as our enemy that will be brought to nothing.' And John 5;28,29 All those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.' I look forward to seeing her joy and laughter again'

It is still very hard for me to believe that my lifelong friend is gone. We were raised up in the same neighborhood and for a few years, as adults, we lived on the same street. We had a lot of great times together, I will forever cherish the memories. She even came to visit with me several times during my years in the military. Brenda and I text each other on the 4th of July wishing each other a Happy 4th. I never would have known that would be the last text I would receive from my "Leo" sister and friend. Brenda's birthday is August 21st. My birthday is August 22nd. My sister (Lisa) birthday is August 18th. Brenda gave us the name "Leo Trio"! I'm going to miss you my friend!! No more worries, no more stress of this world. Rest my friend, rest!
