Callie Denease Jackson was born on December 3, 1954, to the late Carrie Thompkins and the late Jim Kelly of Sylvester, GA.
Callie attended schools in the Worth County School District and graduated from Worth County High School. After graduation, she began working in the textile industry. She worked for over 20 years at Queen Carpet Industries in Tifton, GA, until she decided to retire and devote the remainder of her life to caring for her loving husband and raising her 8 grandchildren.
At an early age, Callie accepted Christ as her personal Savior and joined the Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church of Sylvester, GA and was a devoted choir member that loved lending her voice to sing sweet praises to our Lord and Savior.
On January 18, 1973, Callie was united in Holy Matrimony to Tommy (Bobby) James Jackson. This union was blessed with three beautiful daughters. Their union endured 50 years of honoring their vows to love and cherish each other. Callie was a virtuous woman of God, whose love for others made living life with her a blessing.
Callie devoted her life to serving others and honoring God. Along with her husband, Tommy, Callie was one of a group of devoted Christians that began and planted the seeds for the Greater New Birth Missionary Baptist Church of Sylvester, GA.
Callie was called home to Eternal Rest on August 23, 2023, at Emory University in Atlanta, GA, and although her death was not expected at that time, her family finds comfort in knowing she lived a life that honored God. We find comfort in knowing that her loving spirit and kind words will never be forgotten. She loved the Lord with all her heart and showed that Agape Christ-like Love to all she met.

How fortunate I was to have moved here a year ago allowing me time to spend visiting with this wonderful lady, who happened to be my sister and good friend. Callie, also known by many as Lucy, had so many wonderful traits. She was funny! She and I had such belly laughs during our conversations. I don't think I ever laughed so much other than when I was talking to her. She was helpful! She helped me in so many ways when I moved back to Georgia. She stored my household goods, she met the movers, she helped me organize the apartment, and she fed me on many occasions. I could not have done this move without her help. She was caring! When I was sick with a very bad cold, she had her girls bring me food, regularly; very delicious food by the way. She was loving! She loved her family and friends deeply. She always greeted you with a hug and/or kiss. You knew she cared about you. No one meant more to her than her life partner Bobby, her beautiful daughters Shenicka, Tamara, and LaSandra. And don't get me started on her grandchildren. She was totally devoted to their happiness. The loss of our dear sister, wife, mother, and friend has left a void that will never be filled. Rest well dear sister. Venetia Mae
