The funeral services for the late Mrs. Chrisie Williams, who departed this life on Monday, January 19, 2026, will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. from the First African Baptist Church in Sylvester, Georgia. Reverend Terrell Carter will deliver the Eulogy. Burial will follow in the Shepard Memorial Garden Cemetery in Sylvester, Georgia.
Chrisie Latrell Williams, affectionately known as “Smiley,” was born on February 12, 1978, in Sylvester, Georgia to Joyce Covin and the late Henry Daniels, Sr. Chrisie was a lifelong resident of Sylvester. Chrisie was 1998 graduate of Worth County High School.
Chrisie loved the Lord and lived her life as a reflection of God’s love. Praise and worship were rooted deep in her soul, and she cherished fellowship with all people. She was a member of the Chapel Hill Missionary Baptist Church before moving her membership to Greater Saint John FGIC. While at St. John, she served as van driver, youth advisor, and praise dance director. She later moved her membership to Greater New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor E. Terrell Carter. She served faithfully as the praise dance director, Pastor’s Aide Chair, Assistant Church Administrator, and the finance team. She gave selflessly from her heart, always serving others as unto the Lord. She carried a special calling and faithfully walked in it. Advocating for those who were mentally challenged and for those who could not always speak for themselves. Guided by compassion and faith, she became their voice. Known for her kindness, Chrisie was a loyal friend and never met a stranger. Her contagious smile and pure heart left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
On September 29, 2012, Chrisie married the love of her life, James “Terry” Williams. With the uniting of this union, Chrisie became a bonus mom: loving her bonus kids like she gave birth to them.
On Monday, January 19, 2026, Chrisie finished her earthly journey and now rests peacefully in eternal glory. She has entered into the presence of her Savior, hearing the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy of love, faith, and service will continue to live on in the lives she touched.
